2012 NORTHEAST PEOPLE OF COLOR LEGAL SCHOLARSHIP CONFERENCE (NEPOC)
Friends: Welcome! We hope that you have had enjoyable and productive summers. The NEPOC Planning Committee has put together a great conference on "The Politics of Racial and Economic Diversity" to be held at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts from October 25th to October 27th. There will be two keynote speakers, Lani Guinier and Ian Haney Lopez. We also have a morning dedicated to the Supreme Court's upcoming Fisher affirmative action case as well as a roundtable of deans talking about the debate over whether legal education is in crisis. Of course we will also feature super panels (check out the preliminary schedule at http://law.suffolk.edu/academic/NEPOC) as well as our works in progress sessions. All this, on the edge of the Boston Commons, for the low, low conference registration price of $100.00 until midnight, Monday, September 24, 2012!! (Thereafter, the conference registration will be $125.00) We have deliberately kept the registration price low in order to accommodate the tight budgets of many law schools around the country. Works in Progress So, if you want to come and be part of the dialogue in our warm and supportive community of scholars, please note that the deadline to submit your Work In Progress is coming up fast.
