In this era of zero tolerance and widespread use of suspension/expulsion of students with behavioral issues resultant from unidentified special needs, it is more important than ever to understand the special education process. Dr. Allen Brown will present on “Diagnosing Special Education Needs - Medical/Behavioral Issues.” Experienced education attorneys and advocates benefit from advanced workshops on “How to Create a Forum for Schools and Advocates to Work Together” and “Remedies and Compensatory Damages.” This conference also provides introductory workshops, such as “Special Education 101 for Juvenile Attorneys.” Participants will hear from Thomas Hehir and Kathleen Boundy, national experts concerning “Considerations and Central Issues Concerning the Reauthorization of IDEA.”
