Registration Information

The Senate and House are poised to pass sweeping legislation that will touch every sector of the financial services industry. This event is timed to provide an initial assessment of the proposed legislation’s impact on private advisers and the funds they manage (such as hedge funds) as well as advisers and funds excluded from the legislation. The legislation contemplates new registration requirements and other features, for example in the area of derivatives, that may directly affect fund operations. The program features a member of U.S. Representative Barney Frank's (Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee) staff, who will provide an overview of the process by which the legislation took shape and experienced practitioners and participants in the investment management community to discuss the legislation’s implications and likely regulatory and business developments.
