COURSE DESCRIPTIONS


Estate Administration
Ms. Susan Atlas
2 credits day; 2 credits evening.

This course involves a comprehensive study of estate administration including practice and procedure before the Registries and Probate Courts of the Commonwealth including the new provisions of the Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code. Particular emphasis is accorded to the duties, responsibilities and liabilities of the fiduciary. A take-home course project will engage students in a practical application of property and property transfer theory to a detailed problem resolution. The course in Trusts and Estates or Estates is a highly recommended prerequisite or concurrent.
