Wiki While You Work:  Incorporating Wikis in the Classroom
Professor Samantha A. Moppett

Technology can be an effective teaching tool, yet many of us struggle to find new ways to incorporate technology in the classroom.  This workshop will introduce the use of wikis as a collaborative learning tool.  Specifically, the workshop will address what a wiki is, discuss how wikis can be incorporated into the legal research and writing curriculum, and demonstrate how to set up a wiki using Zoho Wiki, a free hosted wiki service.

Clicking Away Confusion:  Using Clickers to Engage and Assess Your Students
Associate Professor Shailini Jandial George

Looking for ways to make your lectures more interesting and interactive?  Learn about the advantages of using clickers, both to engage your students and to assess what they are actually learning.  This presentation will demonstrate how to create and use clicker presentations in your classroom.

Using Podcasts to Supplement Classroom Teaching
Assistant Professor Gabriel H. Teninbaum

If you can lecture about it, you can podcast it.  And we can help.  This presentation will include a discussion of how, when, and why to use podcasts to complement classroom teaching.  It will give concrete advice to help a beginner get started, as well as training on how to create, edit and publish podcasts.

The Pedagogy of Teaching Through Technology
Professor Andrew Beckerman-Rodau

Why use technology?  Technology should not be used as a substitute for teaching.  Rather, technology is a tool which should serve to achieve pedagogical goals.  As we take advantage of the teaching opportunities, which the use of technology brings to the classroom, we must equally consider and remedy any shortcomings that might result in teaching through technology.
