Do you have rolling admissions? |
|
We utilize a modified rolling admissions process. Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee shortly after completion. When possible, a decision letter is sent out soon thereafter. However, most decisions are rendered in March and April.

Do you have a part-time program? |
|
Yes, we have a part-time evening program.

Can I be considered for both the Day and the Evening program? |
|
You may only apply for one of the two divisions.

What are your median LSAT and GPA? |
|
The median LSAT and GPA are 152 and 3.24.

Does Suffolk take the average LSAT score or the highest score? |
|
The Suffolk Law Admissions Committee considers only the highest score on the LSAT when making admissions decisions.

Do I need to have a recommendation sent from a professor? How many recommendations can I submit? |
|
Generally, it is advisable to have a professor write one of your recommendations if you have graduated from college within the last 3 years. If you have been out of school for a longer period of time, it is acceptable to have recommendations come from a supervisor, or some other source. You may submit more than one recommendation, usually not more than three. Recommendations must be submitted through the CAS.

When should I apply for Financial Aid? |
|
The deadline to apply for Financial Aid is March 1st, although it is beneficial to apply sooner than the deadline.

Do you have grants or scholarships? |
|
Yes, we have institutional grant and scholarship funds available. Applications for institutional funds must be submitted by March 1st. We also offer Trustee Academic Scholarships for students with outstanding academic credentials. There is no application for this scholarship. Awards are made by the Admissions Committee.

Do you offer specialized programs? |
|
Yes, we offer six concentrations.

Do you have dormitories for law students? |
|
We do not have dorms for law students. Suffolk University's Off Campus Housing Office provides all students access to a variety of housing resources in the Boston area.

Do you accept transfer and/or visiting students? |
|
Yes. Transfer applicants must complete one full year of law school and be a student in good standing at their home school to be eligible for admission. Visiting students must be students in good standing and obtain permission from their home school to spend a semester or year at Suffolk. Suffolk Law can only accept transfer credits from ABA-accredited law schools. We do not accept students who have been dismissed from another law school.
