Hon. Rosemary B. Minehan


 S H O R T   B I O G R A P H Y

The Honorable Rosemary B. Minehan was appointed to the bench in 1993, and has served as the First Justice of the Wareham District Court since 1997. Judge Minehan is the Regional Administrative Justice of Region One of the District Court and in that capacity oversees the management of fifteen district courts in Norfolk, Plymouth, Bristol, Barnstable, Nantucket and Dukes counties. She is the Chairperson of the District Court Committee on Commitments under Chapter 123, and is responsible for the management of mental health cases in the district courts throughout Massachusetts. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Minehan maintained a private law practice, concentrating on personal injury and civil litigation, as well as criminal and family law. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Plymouth County. Judge Minehan is a summa cum laude graduate of Suffolk University and a graduate of Suffolk Law School
