Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law Leo Romero was the Dean of the University of New Mexico School of Law from 1991-1997 and currently serves as the Keleher & McLeod Professor of Law at that institution. Professor Romero has been a visiting faculty member at various law schools, including Hastings, George Washington University, the University of Oregon and Washington University. He has held the following distinguished leadership positions in legal education: Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Law School Admission Council, President of the Order of the Coif, Executive Committee Member of the Association of American Law Schools, and Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Professor Romero has written books and articles on criminal law, evidence, trial practice, judicial selection and law school admissions.
