Isabel Raskin
Practitioner in Residence

 S H O R T   B I O G R A P H Y

Isabel Raskin has been with the Suffolk University Law School Juvenile Justice Center since 1999 and currently runs the Education Advocacy Clinic for Suffolk University Law School, supervising law students representing low income, at-risk youth in education matters. Prior to working at the Juvenile Justice Center, Ms. Raskin worked for nine years at the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts as a senior staff attorney. Ms. Raskin has given lectures and spoken at continuing legal education conferences on such topics as zero tolerance policies, special education eligibility, disciplinary rights of students, and the role of counsel in juvenile matters. Ms. Raskin has also testified before the Massachusetts legislature regarding various education bills. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Access to Justice Council, the Boston Public School Code of Conduct Advisory Committee, and the Education Law Task Force. Ms. Raskin is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Northeastern University School of Law and she is the 1995 recipient of the Boston Bar Association John G. Brooks Award for outstanding achievement and commitment on behalf of legal services clients.
