Mr. Shaw is currently a partner and member of the litigation and health law departments of Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP in Boston, where he concentrates in representing hospitals, physicians, durable medical equipment suppliers and other health care providers during state and federal health care fraud and abuse investigations, and during overpayment audits. He has lectured and written extensively in the area of fraud and abuse, and has co-authored a practice guide for the American Health Lawyers Association entitled Fraud and Abuse Investigations Handbook for the Health Care Industry. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the vice-chair of the Medicine and Law Committee of the Insurance Practice Section of the ABA, and a member of the Health Law Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Mr. Shaw served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, where he was Chief of the Regulatory Crimes Unit. He received his BA from the University of Massachusetts and his JD from Georgetown University Law School.
