ADJUNCT LAW FACULTY

Daniel Kelly is a partner with the Boston law firm of McCarter & English LLP where he heads up the firm's Government Contracts practice. Mr. Kelly's practice focuses on federal, state and local procurement law and consists of counseling, disputes resolution and litigation. A graduate, with Honors, of George Washington University's National Law Center, where he specialized in federal procurement, Mr. Kelly has expert knowledge in the field's specific laws, regulations, contract clauses and specialized courts and tribunals. Mr. Kelly's clients range from small businesses to publicly held companies. His practice includes reviewing government solicitations and client proposals, teaming arrangements and subcontracts, protecting intellectual property and proprietary information, and litigating bid protests and client claims arising from change orders, delays and terminations. Before joining McCarter & English LLP in 1988, Mr. Kelly practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson & Hand. He is a member of the bars of Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice before a variety of federal courts, including the United States Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Kelly is the Chair of the Boston Lawyers Division of the Federalist Society, and is a frequent commentator on public policy issues. Mr. Kelly produces and participates in the Society's annual Shakespeare and the Law series at the Wang Center for the Performing Arts, which gathers together judges, elected officials, and prominent attorneys for a staged reading of one of Shakespeare's plays followed by a discussion of the play's legal issues. Mr. Kelly graduated magna cum laude, with Honors, from the College of Holy Cross where he majored in Russian Studies.
